Praying for Faith

On Wednesday, a family of three passed by me in front of the St. Patrick’s cathedral. But then the little boy of around 5 or 6 years old turned around and came back to me, asking me for a rosary.

Some moments later, when the boy had already found his favorite color rosary, and had walked back to his parents, his mother turned around and walked back to me too. She said to me: please pray for my son Ryan that he may remain strong in his faith. He is praying every day.

I responded I would of course do that with gladness. I asked her in turn: “do you also believe?” She said: “not yet, but I am trying.” I asked her: what are your name and your son’s? She said: “Paris and Ryan.” I assured her I would pray for both of them. And shared with her that the boy, now St., Carlo Acutis, also helped his mother attain Faith.

After the mission, around 7:30pm or so, I found Karen, Andrew and Mary schwartz sitting in the St. Patrick’s cathedral pews near the entrance on the left, and Angela standing next to them.

I told them the story: and the four of us then prayed together that Ryan may be kept in growing strong faith and his mother Paris may be given the gift of faith (as per Matthew 16:17).

Love in Christ, and may God bless you both, your family and your ministry abundantly!
